How the questions were made
Every question was written to mirror the official CCAT patterns: the same cognitive load, the same time pressure, the same mix of verbal, math, spatial, and logic formats you'll face on test day. Supplemented by reports from candidates who had recently taken the test and shared what they saw. Each question was carefully designed to match the structure, difficulty, and style of official CCAT questions.

CCAT Questions, Answered
What is the CCAT?
The Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test is a 50-question, 15-minute pre-employment test covering verbal, math and logic, and spatial reasoning. It works out to about 18 seconds per question, and most people do not finish.
What is the average CCAT score?
About 24 out of 50. A score of 30 or higher lands roughly in the top 20%, 35 or higher in the top 5%, and 40 or higher in the top 1% of test-takers.
Is there a penalty for wrong answers?
No. Only correct answers count, so always guess rather than leave a question blank.
Can I use a calculator?
No. The CCAT does not allow calculators, which is why mental-math shortcuts matter so much. Every math question on TestCCAT comes with a speed strategy showing the fastest calculator-free route.
What score do companies require?
It varies: Crossover is widely reported at 35+, Gauntlet AI requires 40+, and many general tech screens look for 28 or higher. Our company guides list known score bands per employer.

What makes TestCCAT different from other CCAT prep?
Every one of its 650+ questions carries a speed strategy: a short "How to crack this fast" panel with 1-2 timed approaches, like fast elimination in about 10 seconds versus the full solve in 45. Missed questions also return on 3 separate days until you can answer them correctly.
How much can practice improve a CCAT score?
With structured, timed practice many people improve by 5 to 10 raw points as the question patterns and pacing become familiar. The biggest early gain usually comes from attempting more questions in the 15 minutes.
