Insider Tip
The APS recruits into hundreds of Australian Government agencies and bodies, mainly through apsc.gov.au and APSjobs. Large campaigns such as the Australian Government Graduate Program (including generalist, policy, data, ICT, and other streams) typically use multi-stage selection; many include online verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning tests under time pressure. Numerical reasoning often stresses percentages, rates, and short word problems similar to what we train in the math bank. Eligibility, citizenship, and security-clearance requirements are set per role and agency. Officials do not publish one universal CCAT-style score for the entire APS—use your candidate information pack for the exact assessment name and treat TestCCAT as transferable timed practice for the same broad skills.
"Overall I think I did really well on the generalist mainly because of the TestCCAT resemblance.
"The maths questions felt very similar to the ones in TestCCAT, with mainly percentages.
"Your free practice exams were the only truly hard ones that compare to the real thing.

Moderate — Timed online ability tests are common in APS graduate and large-scale recruitment; proctoring and item formats depend on the vendor and stream. Confirm what your campaign uses.
