CTC is a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm and market maker, recruiting on campus for Quant Trader Analyst (QTA), Software Engineer (SE), and Systematic Quantitative Researcher (PhD) roles. For QTA and other critical-thinking roles, the funnel opens with a timed online aptitude screen that candidate interview reviews identify as the CCAT. Prioritize speed on the Math and Logic sections: fast mental arithmetic, ratios and probability-style reasoning, and pattern logic under the clock are what separate candidates on a trading desk. The reported 35 to 40 figure is a minimum, so treat the top of that band as your real target. Software Engineer applicants get a coding challenge instead of the aptitude test.
